i think the Pacers lost the series on the last play of game 4 overtime. they should've played for the tie and taken their chances in the 2nd OT. that's what i thot then.
that said, the Pacers played a lot better in games 5 + 6 than I thot they were capable of... either that or the Lakers played really poorly (ok, I'll assume the latter :-)

the big thing that surprises me from this year for the Lakers is that Phil&Co. were able to transplant the triangle offense successfully. Perhaps PJ should retire while he's ahead... he's proved that he can win a championship w/o MJ, does he really think he can win 5 in a row w/ the Lakers?! (they will expect no less w/ his (IMO paltry) 5 year contract).
