I got some family members into SNDK after the Lexar legal victory because I felt it was a landmark decision for SanDisk. Well, I could not have been more wrong.

And I got family members into Qualcomm, and they (and I) have seen a > 50% plunge.

But Qcom is a great company, the majority of my portfolio, and the MSFT/INTC of the next decade. So if the investing horizon is longterm, should come out smelling like roses.
