Hi George...Excellent post. To refresh your memory:

On April 22, 1997 Presstek closed at 52.
On April 23, 1997 Presstek closed at 59, up 7 after Imation Announcement.
By May 5, 1997 Presstek closed at 73 and has since corrected down as expected to 66.

You are exactly correct to again point out that the revenue from this new PEARLgold plate will not be seen until first quarter of 98. So? Since when has Presstek traded based on current income and earnings. Question is, how many times earnings does the PEARLgold plate's potential demand in the market today? This is a hard question to answer...All I can say with certainty is that if Presstek is worth 66 today based on the known factor, what is the new worth of the stock in the market place, now when PEARLgold is factored in?

I would also like to add that it is not Catalina Coating that will be manufacturing the plates....The new facility is actually Presstek. Catalina was purchased to obtain the technology. They are developing the machinery for Presstek. The plates are not being made by or at any Catalina facility.

Presstek will have 3 months to beta test their new production line in 1997. I would assume they will work out the bugs during that time period.

George, I noted that you had not responded to the survey of Presstek investors and traders. Anyone not yet responding, please visit post 2615 for the questions. Will continue accepting your survey untill Thursday night, May 15th.

Neil
