<What is this about? Core shrink, higher binsplits?> It looks like a new vaporware notification. The following facts have lead me to this conclusion: 1. There is no P-iii computers above 600-650 in retail shops. Today. 2. The "stepping B-0" (announced with SECC up to 800MHz and FC-PGA up to 750) supposed to be in the channel after April, 7, 2000. However, 2+ months from now most retailers still ship the old stepping, A-2, at least for 600/133 and 700/100 I have ordered, on several occasions. Any requested B-0 parts with proper S-specs were not available. 3. Between B-0 (CPUID=683) and C-0 (CPUID=686), two steppings are missing - 684 and 685. This means that those two extra silicon spins were not successful. Combined with general unavailability of B-0, this indicates some serious problems and desperation at Intel. IMHO.
