I doubt insurance will pay anything at all. The patients will have to make up the difference.

Insurance comapnies are reducing what they pay for every year more and more. They already do not pay for things we do like Emergency Exams, Composite (tooth colored) fillings in back teeth, Blaeching, Porcelain Veneers, Implants. Other things.... no need to mention them all.

In fact, the last 3 "big" developments in dentistry are Implants, Porcelain Veneers, and Bleaching. None of them are covered.

I dont see why they would change course now.

They'll probably do what they did with implants... label it "experimental", even though it's not.
