Well, this is going to be a tough sell.

I'm not sure if it can even be used to do all fillings.

I have a suspicion that it cannot be used to remove deep amalgam fillings because the metal would conduct the heat into the nerve. I know there are some problems with doing fillings near the gumline. Sometime it damages the gums from the heat.

Can you imagine telling the patient " Okay, we are doing 3 fillings today. We have to use the drill on two, but the third one we can do with the laser for only $50 more!"

I know it is not recommended to be used on children because they may move suddenly.

Steve
