Mocking reality is pointless. The products, particularly the first and second versions of JBuilder, were a cruel joke at best. Likewise, several releases of Delphi were labeled as alpha releases by die-hard Borland fans. Now, they can keep on living in denial or realize that their Quality Assurance process is a bush-league operation, second only in its lack of quality to Borland support. Furthermore, they don't come within a country mile of Microsoft in terms of internal and external documentation. That's another area where apparently the same losers who drove Borland into the dirt continued to be given the ball to drop all over again.

I wish they would start taking this seriously. Pretending they only have a marketing problem is part of the reason they don't fix the problems they have. They cannot afford not to spend a lot of money on rigorous testing and quality collateral materials. I wish they would behave as though they knew that. Instead, they act like biased investors who only tinker around with the product, then claim there are no problems.
