John, RE: We've talked before on this thread about how the business press focuses on bad news and ignores good news, especially where Intel is concerned. The way this $200M charge and $2.3B gain is being reported is a perfect example of their bias towards the negative. The investment gain is old news. Intel filed to sell the MU shares a couple of weeks ago, and made the news then. The charge is new, thus the emphasis. The Intel bulls continually complain about the negative bias, and the Intel bears continually complain about the positive bias. It seems to me that would indicate that the information flow is pretty balanced.
