1. Kevin, In Europe people are not used to ordering things fron the catalogues, they go, see and buy. This is the reason that Dell will not be doing well here. 2. Hagelling is fine with me, but when one smile, I take it he is happy. How can I deal with people that when they smile, it means, up yours you stupid uncivilized Gaijin(hope the spleeing is right?) Boshido(again speling??) and business don't go together. When they come to do business in Europe they behave much better than with the Americans. A few years ago they tried to pull fast one on France. French government asked them to take 50,000 VCR's to a special custom in Lyon, and put 6 custom officers to inspect 10,000 video palyers one by one. Working at 6 hours a day, and doing 20 units inspection it would have taken them years to finish the inspection. Japanes govenment got the message, and since there has been no obstacle for French goods. We have a surplus of trade with Japan and not a defecit. In the US, you don't have only commercail interest with japan, but it is political. So, US negotiaters have to go soft. You go soft with these guys and they think your a uncivilized and stupid foreigner. Kevin, I say the things as they should be said, I have no querele with Japanese people that I find kind, and correct, it is their commercail policies that stink!
