Imagine an individual, tremendous amount of hands-on and theoretical
knowledge, but intensely narcissistic. Renders a considered opinion
but is rejected. Attempts to gain respect with displays of intellectual
prowess, but still fails to impress. Resorts to childish attacks to
delegitimize others, and persists in the hopes of being recognized of
for his/her expertise.
Any resemblance to individuals living or dead is purely coincidental.

Just my humble clinical opinion.
