Re: the aircraft/data model I assume (others help me out) that one or several circuits would be held open for uplink purposes during an entire flight, and that these uplinks would be shared among the inflight data users. Thus several hundred minutes of connect time would be generated on a typical cross country flight, probably involving some pairing or combining of "voice" circuits to enhance the bandwidth. If one assumes that 2000 daily flights might offer this service (near term) then one could easily get to 1-2 M "voice" minutes of use per day. (I.E. minutes at 9.6 Mb equivalent voice bandwidth). At the customary wholesale rate of about $0.40 per minute, this would go a long way towards assuaging those quarterly burn rate blues!
