TORONTO, June 21 (Reuters) - Radioshack Canada, a subsidiary of InterTAN Inc. (ITN-N) , said Wednesday it was joining with AT&T Canada (ATTC-O) and Microsoft Canada Co. (MSFT-O) to create a more powerful Web site and an array of Internet-powered kiosks in order to attract new customers.
Canadian Internet users will have access to more than 100,000 Radioshack electronic, games and music products on a Web site powered by Microsoft technology. In addition, Internet connections from AT&T Canada Inc. will run in-store kiosks at Radioshack Canada locations.
"We were interested in giving our customers an additional channel for their shopping needs as well as tightly integrating Web commerce in support of our retail stores," said Brian Levy, president and chief executive of InterTAN.
InterTAN operates more than 800 Radioshack stores in Canada. The company said 90 percent of Canadians live within 7 miles of a Radioshack.
