I have not seen anything about GTE in the Houston area becoming part of AT&T. They are a CDMA carrier and probably have the largest installed base in Houston. My wife uses Primeco but we have decided to drop it since the coverage is spotty in some of the outlying areas. We live in a dead zone in their coverage and can not make or receive calls in the house. Sunny
