The propensity to worship may be directly associated to the level of ignorance or emotional needs that an individual believes they must have to carry on. Religion fills the void within humans who choose not to think or admit that there still exist many great unknowns, the greatest of which is what happens (or does not happen) after death. Religion also fills the need for some who seek power over other individuals and use mysticism to achieve that power. It was predicted that the meek shall inherit the Earth. I agree. I know it is the strong and adventurous who will inherit the stars. The meek will stay behind hiding in their playpen until the sun becomes a red giant and the Earth is vaporized. FT
