I'd love to get more info on the ongoing negotiations between ETSI, ITU and Qualcomm. It seems very obvious to me that the new spectrum in Europe that is marked for WCDMA will not be built out until Qualcomm agrees on licensing with the remaining manufacturers (mainly Nokia). I bet one of the things Q will get from the ITU in return for a favorable license agreement with Nokia and others is a change in policy to allow CDMA2000 as an option for the new spectrum.
IMO this would be great since we all know that 1X/HDR will be first 3G technologies and LU would push very hard to get these contracts in Europe.
