I understand that several 3-hour runs were made on line 1 last week with no recurrence ot the problems that were reported solved. The production rate was 2084 cells per hour. I didn't hear this first hand but I believe they were running cellphone cells. The previously-stated production rate for line 1 is 8 million/yr. The measured rate exceeds this if you use these numbers: 2084 X 365 days/yr x 24 hr/day = 18,255,840/yr.

I was also told that representatives of a major cellphone and communications OEM will be visiting the plant this week. Timing appears to correspond with five 8-hr shifts for production qualification. The company intends to announce its completion.
