Sonny ---thought you might be interested in the following link :

Seems that of the fifty per cent oil that we import it comes from the following countries :
1) Canada ---1.7 million barrels a day per NBC as of June 19 th ---not a member of OPEC
2)Mexico is number two ---member of OPEC
3)OPEC about 20 % of the US Total inputs
Of the spare capacity in Opec most of it is located in our friends that we are protecting ,Saudi Arabia , Kuwait and United Arab Emirates . We are spending a billion dollars a year to protect theses countries ---very sad that we seem to have no leadership to help us become independent of this monopoly .
The real issue is t developed our own resources : 1) to break free of this issue for national security 2) To destroy this cartel by just putting in motion a hydrogen program to break free of them and fossil fuels thus helping to eliminate pollution .
Hope you had a great vacation
BEST WISHES
