Upside.com retraction: upside.com Corrections made on 6/19/00: An earlier version of "Qualcomm fever finally breaks" erroneously reported that Qualcomm's future profits would not meet market expectations. In fact, Qualcomm's CFO, Anthony Thornley, said that if troubled satellite telecommunications company Globalstar were to fail, it would impact fiscal 2001 earnings per share by a dime a share.
