That is Exactly what we have. I don't like broken dishes, because they are special to me. Unbroken ones, I mean. Glazed cast iron is Not a good sink material.
I also like to fill buckets.
I am thinking of writing an essay, with a title something like, "Every House Should Be A Farm." Or, "Every House Should Be A Working Ranch." It is Functions, that make a good house. The Endless Concessions to Practicality and Service, that are really The Things.
What you like to DO, and your kids like to Do, and HAVE to do, and have to clean up and put away ~ that is really your life.
Just go Ahead and Admit it, and get yourself a Life for it.
