Welcome Back, Tuck. Where have you been?

We missed you!

You probably know that SanDisk prevailed in the Lexar case and a lawsuit in Japan initiated by Mitsubishi followed the same day. Lexar has followed up with an attempt at patent nullification to keep the final resolution of the case clouded while they launch their IPO. Additionally, Lexar just offered a press release announcing their decision to supply Japanese consumers via Olympus' retail channels. It would appear that SanDisk's '987 is becoming a hot international patent.

I also learned that the original founders of Lexar Media are now focused on their original company called Simple Technologies. They have divorced themselves from Lexar and severed all ties with their previous investment. I think this speaks volumes.

Same old story, I guess. The SanDisk IP is still underappreciated by the investment community at large.
