I wouldn't worry in the least about getting that deal with Bell Atlantic: the FCC approved the Bell Atlantic GTE merger on June 16:

You'll be aboard the Bell Atlantic ( now called Verizon Wireles) Network as soon as Novatel comes out with that modem. Bell Atlantic moves quick. They have merged with GTE and Air Touch Communications with the sole purpose of building a wireless empire. Bell Atlantic will charge you $240 for that modem. Don't buy it from Novatel unless you want to pay over a $100 more.

Novatel is a cool outfit. Small but efficient. I'd love to see them go public.

Be careful with that modem. You may want to consider getting a Rhino 2000 sport utility case for your palm and modem. You can attach it to your belt. If that modem falls on a hard surface, there is a good chance you'll ruin it. Novatel will replace it with a new modem for $110.

Here is the soft case I'm talking about: it will save your modem.

I'm an Outpost fan. Free overnight shipping and they are reliable.
