Hi Di: In answer to your question, I usually try to buy calls 4-6 months out, usually ITM. Nothing fancy at all. Usually will watch 3-5 options and wait for a day that one is a particularly good buy, then execute. Found that I do best concentrating on only 3 or 4 stocks at a time. I'll stay with them until I need to change.

If a position turns against me, I get out immediately. Welcome volatility. While risky, I assume the risk. I own no stocks and haven't for ages, just do options.

My style is risky, not for most, but works well for me.
