DELL's workstations are called the Precision product line.
They include the at the low end the 820 equivalent MOBO with single channel RDRAM capable of dual processor support and the 840 equivalent motherboards which are dual channel and dual processor systems. The workstations run Win2K , WIN NT or LINUX.

DELL also has a Dimension and Optiplex desktop product lines. Some of these have 820 equivalent boards. These may run Win98 or Win NT or WIN2K.

I say equivalent boards because DELL designs its own motherboards for certain product lines. You must have noticed they did not have any problems with 820 MOBOs.

A Lattitude is not considered a Workstation. It is a laptop being used as a desktop replacement.

Hope this answers your questions.
