I wish he'd give some data on Gigabit Ethernet sales. Strongly, is that 2 installations, or 20. 200? All NTAP's website says on the subject is:

In fact, NetApp filers can be installed in as little as 15 minutes. An integrated motherboard with onboard FC-AL, 10/100 Base-T Ethernet and a Fast-Wide Differential SCSI adapter allow for easy plug-and-play into user networks. Additional PCI slots offer easy scalability for storage expansion as well as additional network interface cards such as Gigabit Ethernet, ATM and FDDI...

Gigabit Ethernet mentioned almost as an after thought, and in the same vein as FDDI. Wow. Poor description about the use of additional PCI slots also (in bold).

Hey, SANs and fibre channel are just starting to take off. I seriously doubt if Gigabit ethernet filers are.
