don't forget these numbers are going to be beaten as soon as Itanium kicks in, and it's gonna be Monterey, W2K, Novell Modesto, HP-UX, and Trillian. NO SOLARIS.

I believe, as a vertically integrated company Sun Micro has seen their best days. They are not as good as big blue in the mainframe space and they just haven't got the economy of scale of Wintel. So unless you are religious why would you want Sun. From my part I will continue doing spread sheet and e-mail using my PC (Intel inside) with M$FT on it, I just don't believe that my cell phone or my dish washer is good enough for the job.
