CNBC is following the same path taken by the network news programs - more and more fluff, lots of time for inconsequential "special reports" and "human interest" stuff drummed up by an ever increasing staff, more and more cutbacks on REAL market news. It's been years, for example, since anybody on CNBC has mentioned options - and we now get technical analysis of stocks and the market on a hit-and-miss basis. The old FNN far surpassed CNBC in the volume of analysis and hard news on the markets. More and more, I keep the volume off, and look only at the "bugs" and the tape - the only improvements introduced since the FNN days. Too bad.....
