Looking for ammo to debate with Thomas M., this article reminded me of something I had forgotten. Remember when gas stations would tape a paper dollar sign and numeral one in front of the pump price because the prices on the pump couldn't go over a dollar? And then remember when all the gas stations converted prices to metric? Boy, those were fun times.
