[Jaz Stability]

I have a Jaz at my work. It is used on a daily basis for storage of scanned images and photoshop presentation media. We have had zero loss. No problems at all. Rocky, it sounds like your friend you talked to may be computer illiterate. Instead of suggesting replacing equipment, advise him to hire a computer tech.

Now here is a thought. How many Jaz were bought by Disney Studios? Some 4,000 if I remember correctly. I haven't heard anything about them having problems with them. Hmm... Surely they must have had the same problems as your friend, losing files 'alot'. Maybe someone should give them a call and see.

You seem to be able to sniff out all these people having Jaz problems. Strange... My company ordered about 10 six months ago and has had no problems. Maybe New York is getting all the faulty drives.
