Greenspan Accident Rumor Dispelled
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON ?? Contrary to market rumors, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan was not involved in an auto accident, the Federal Reserve said Thursday.

"The rumors are not true," said Fed spokesman Bob Moore. "There has been no traffic accident. The chairman is attending a board of directors meeting at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where he has been since early this morning and he is fine."

Traders in New York said the unsubstantiated rumors that Greenspan had been injured in an auto accident began circulating in the bond market.

Just kidding about that "Dang!" Don't want to see harm come even to AG. Besides, he's through raising rates and the market's going to break out after next week's meeting. Or so say my stock-picking chickens, Tasty and Delicious.
