Mr. Peter Bissonnette reports A total of 250,000 Canadians is now subscribing to Shaw's high-speed Internet service, Shaw@Home, making it the most popular cable modem service in Canada. "There is no question that Shaw@Home has struck a chord with our customers who are increasingly becoming Internet-savvy consumers," said Peter Bissonnette, president, Shaw Cablesystems. The figures prove that Canadians want high-speed access to the Internet and they're using Shaw@Home to gain instant access to a world of multimedia rich information and entertainment." This increase follows an independently conducted customer satisfaction survey which rated Shaw@Home the No. 1 high-speed Internet service in categories ranging from installation to support and reliability. Last fall, Shaw announced plans to spend $100-million to enhance its local Internet distribution infrastructure with a significant expansion of its fibre optic networks. With this expansion, customers can expect a substantial increase in system performance, reliability and capacity continuing to make Shaw@Home the first choice for customers coast-to-coast.
