Hello Steve,

I think you have to expand your view to include "do gooders" of most any stripe. Very often the do gooders tend to go over board with their zeal. Look at environmentalism for example. They feel that their "cause" should override an individual's freedom and rights to use their own property as they see fit. It is all a balancing act. Even government do gooders step on the toes of individualist ideals. Everyone pushes their own interests and many so called "do gooders" can lean too far towards tyranny in favor of that they think is best. Fundamentalist Christians are not the real threat to my freedom. I don't think they are to yours either. The "green police" that some here think we need coming and dictating what I can do with my land are a threat to my freedom. Fundie Christians can't make me behave and go to church on Sunday. But the "green police" can really mess up my life. That's just one example of where the real tyranny is today. It's in government, not the Church that tyranny is being propagated.
