Not in the least. If I were to make a list of prospective suitors they would fit in three groups:
1. Internet information management: INRS, EPRS, INSP, TIBX, IWOV
2. Database - IBM, ORCL, SYBS
3. Business Intelligence - COGN, BOBJ
My leading candidate right now is BOBJ, actually, because they need more growth, and they have no portal play, and because the just partnered with VIAD. I figure that BOBJ could pay up to 40 for VIAD.
If VIAD is going to be purchased, I figure that the purchase will come in the next month or so. Many partners can see the value of VIAD and the tremendous growth ahead. Thus they are in a better position than you or I to assess the future growth. If they wait too long, the rest of the world will see the growth potential and the price could be much higher.
