I generally agree. What I was talking about was someone who can call the ups and downs.

I agree with this too. I see TA as something that helps understand/forecast the institutional and crowd action. IMHO, anyone who expects perfection here is nuts.

We all know AMD will go up substantially over the next few quarters. All I am talking about is someone with a decent hit rate on calling the turns. I know it is not easy. But a good technical guy can be highly valuable to the thread.
