Web2U Signs Manufacturing Deal with Flextronics International

MILTON KEYNES, England, Jun 22, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Web2U (OTC
Bulletin Board: MUCP), the UK-based producer of low cost web-to-TV Internet
access systems, today announced that it has signed a deal with Flextronics
International to produce its set-top boxes. The boxes will initially be
manufactured in Hamilton, UK with a view to utilising Flextronics' other global
manufacturing centres as production expands.

Web2U's "plug and play" set top boxes provide Internet access through any
standard television. It offers a full web service, including email, net browsing
and the facility for e-commerce to those without a computer. Web2U launched its
box in the UK market during February. It also has sales and distribution deals
in place in India and Australia and recently announced a joint initiative with
African Lakes Corporation PLC to address markets within the African continent.

The deal with Flextronics underlines Web2U's expansion plans, providing it with
a solid production base and an improved distribution platform. Flextronics will
be contracted to manufacture the newest version of the Web2U set top box.

Flextronics International Ltd is a leading provider of flexibility and speed in
Electronic Manufacturing Services to Original Equipment Manufacturers in the
fast-growth communications, networking, computer, medical and consumer markets.
Headquartered in Singapore, and with operations throughout Asia, Europe and the
Americas, its client base includes Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Sony.
Flextronics' business model is based upon providing its customers with a high
degree of flexibility in their operations through its ability to provide volume
scalability, mass customization, reduced time to market and enhanced supply
chain and logistical efficiencies.

Commenting on the signing of the contract, Web2U's chief executive, Darran H.
Evans, said:
