Mike, I saw a one line blurb on CBS Market indicating that the ruling in appellate court favorable to AT&T would pave the way for increased capital spending in this sector. I searched all the articles on the ruling for a direct quote but couldn't find anything on topic.

I'll bet that within a few days analysts will pull together the broader implications of this event. Of course it probably won't make the public press until the "White Shoe" crowd have gotten their best clients a piece of the action.

I think this will have far reaching effect even beyond AT&T. Other MSOs may have been moving ahead very cautiously in the event things went the other way. Personally, while I like to see competition, it doesn't make sense for those who risk all to build out next generation two-way cable networks to have to open their networks to competitors. I think competition will come from other areas like DSL, fixed wireless and possibly satellite. Mike, since you are a fan of AFCI, are you a buyer here in the mid to low $50s. Also I saw in the latest issue of Business Week in their special mid-year report on investing that AFCI was one of the "quality" tech stocks to be in. Haven't read the article yet, but its always good for Ma and Pa Kettle to read about us in the People Magazine of business publications.
