Not any more: the giant with 186m population and half of the total market decided otherwise. What we are de facto facing in Brazil is the GSM in the upper band and the GSM derived W-CDMA in the third generation. Some smaller countries can be expected to follow suit. Us being on the Q thread I think this qualifies as "bad news" - rajala
