Hey, this morning I read that some well-respected Wall Street analysts had made some public statements about problems with Amazon's business - something to the effect that there were problems with debt and that sales growth was slowing - suggesting that maybe Amazon's web-based model is not all that strong - that the company might actually run out of cash soon - that perhaps Amazon is just a "regular retailer" after all.

While I've never heard an analyst say such things about Amazon, it strikes me that I've heard these sentiments about the company at some time in the past. Ah yes, now I recall - it was on this thread - in fact, such sentiments have been expressed here for at least a couple of years running now.

Hmmm, makes you wonder on what information analysts were basing their past positive views on Amazon? These analysts are smart people, aren't they? I mean don't they make like multi-million dollar salaries?

You know, despite what the analysts say, I think there still may be some hope for Amazon. Think about it - there are still a few regions where they can offer convertible bonds to fund their operations - Asia, Africa, Antartica, the moon - there's got be investors in these locales that have not yet been duped.

(apologies if my cynicism is a bit strong this morning)
