Like sami says, it really is a clever and beautiful arrangement. Nokia gets full access to Q's products, and can test the relationship with Telson/Q. If things work out, it can buy 3G products directly from the Q.

The WCDMA IPR issue is tabled to a later time when it will be more pressing. By then, the future of DS and MC CDMA modes will be clearer.

The solution is simple and elegant. It affords Nokia all the face-saving it requires. The bottom-line upside to the Q should be substantial.

Don't expect the investment community to understand the deal. It's far too subtle to make any immediate impact on the stock price. When earnings go up, we'll see the rise.
