Yes, CDMA in fact is doing well in Brazil. Now the bad news: it will not be in the future.

As for GSM being allowed to compete, yes. But thereïs more to that: CDMA1 will not be allowed to compete. Thatïs not "exactly what we want".

And that is not the worst news. Worst news is the reason behind the 1800 band choice. That is reserving 1900 to ETSI specified W-CDMA use.
