According to a recent poll (wish I could remember where I saw it), the reverse seems to be more often true.

In my observation, most people who oppose the death penalty do so for a very specific reason: which is that, all too often, people are executed who were in fact innocent of the crimes for which they were executed.

Bill says he has never heard of such cases. (!!) In fact, many such cases have been documented. I will try to post a few examples.

BTW, did you know that no country that applies the death penalty can be admitted to the Council of Europe?
