RE: " my valuation logic "

Hi GV,

I don't think book value is exclusively used to valuate startups...book value is good for: a) distressed companies out on the block or b) traditional businesses that are not in high-tech and have limited growth opportunity.

I believe startups are valued according to an analysis of:
- consistency in revenue and profit streams
- projected ROI; growth%
- comparable valuations of startups in similar industries
- team's track record/implementation skills/vision/drive
- market size opportunity/valid business model
- existing customers
- margins
- assets
- barrier-to-entry; uniqueness/patents; competitive landscape
- economic climate (i.e. Greenspan's interest rates, etc.)
- market rate: what other investors are willing to pay

Regards,
Amy J
