Hi ian, For the Christians among us, there's always this pesky verse from the ever troublesome New Testament:

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, ?Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord?? Rom. 12:19;

I'm sure the locals know how to dispose of that bit of errant inerrancy, though.
