How many people actually listened to the Micron cc? An interesting little detail is that the CEO used Semico's projected RDRAM market share to explain why RDRAM is inconsequential now and remains so for the foreseeable future. Here is the actual slide:

In terms of the actual broadcast, there is a question about RDRAM a little past half way through, a question about RAMBUS IP about five minutes later, and a third question concerning whether Micron would be disadvantaged if the company's forecasts on RDRAM were wrong. (Steve Appleton, CEO, said no, because its customers would notify Micron if demand for RDRAM were to pick up.)

I am not sure what can be gleaned of the ip issue. Appleton said that RAMBUS's relations with Hitachi and Toshiba provide no insight into Micron's and refused any comment on RAMBUS's ip. He also asked one of the analysts if he was was serious in expecting an answer to his question about RAMBUS ip.
