Does Rambus have a forward (Dec 2000) P/E of around 15? Does Rambus sell a competitive product in a market with huge margins, high entry costs, and have the manufacturing ability to potentially supply 30% of it? Given that they are in essentially the same business, the comparison of AMD's to Intel's valuation is appropriate.

I'd compare Rambus to Qualcom, except that Qualcom developed something (a method to maximize wireless bandwidth) which is cheap, useful, and that the market wants...
