DALLAS, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Allied Riser Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: ARCC) announced that the company recently crossed a major milestone by completing construction of its high-speed, IP-based, fiber optic communications network in more than 200 million square feet of prime commercial office space. The company also said that it remains ahead of schedule for meeting its construction goals for the second quarter of 2000, and the remainder of the year.

By reaching the 200 million square feet milestone last week, ARC's high- speed, IP-based, fiber-optic communications networks is now constructed in 39 metropolitan areas in the United States, placing the Integrated Communications Provider (ICP) ahead of its construction goals.
