I haven't seen any of the price war predictions by some of the analysts who usually do so (Drew Peck?) when it appears that the 2 companies will have overlapping capacity. Maybe all of them figure there's enough business for both. Re 30%, I recall Jerry predicting that AMD would grab 30% with the K6 too. No way Jose did that happen.

One way to look at it is that the competition spurs Intel and AMD on to producing chips that leave about everyone else in the dust. Speaking of which, there's gold to be mined for whomever can get into some of that Sun business!
