Where is this innocent person fighting their own execution? He surely wasn't in Huntsville, Texas Thursday night. Have you judged specific cases and determined by your brilliant intellect that the witnesses, the arresting officers, the prosecutors, and the jury are all wrong? Does this mean that those who believe as you do are all correct and to disagree renders others irrelevant? You give yourself too much credit. Execution of animals cannot be compared to murder. Do you believe that if we stop executing killers they will stop killing innocent people? (the ones we execute will stop for sure) Would you feel different if the victim of this killer was a member of your immediate family? This question, unlike the rhetoric preceding, begs your answer. I hold individual rights to peace, safety, and tranquility above all. The "faceless State" cannot protect you when the killer breaks down your door. It can only eliminate the possibility that specific killer will do it again. But you won't know that if you were his initial victim.
