I bailed on Rambus for the reasons I cited...And I like to ask the Thread what they think of this post

Apollo,

There is a short section in the manual that I thought was very good, even though it was not germane to the main topic of the book. The part I am referring to is where the authors talk about reviewing the outcomes of investment decisions. They note that sometimes a poor decision process may yield great results, while a good decision process may end up yielding poor results. Their advice, however, is to prefer the good decision process. Over time doing so should result in a higher percentage of wins.

I think your thought process on RMBS was the right one. Selling at the time made good sense. Not buying when the DRAM lawsuit was announced was also prudent. So many times we read about companies with suits pending that will likely have a favorable outcome some time in the future. Often, these cases drag on and on. The two amazing wins by RMBS these past few days happened incredibly quickly and were largely out of left field. I wish I owned some RMBS and participated in this windfall. But I have no regrets, because I followed a good process, and that process led me to pass on investing in RMBS.

As to whether RMBS should be bought now. We should again follow a good process and see where it leads us.

PS. I've heard that Dragon system has trouble with Boston accents.
