Such foresight was still being practiced by the Scots, when some sheep swam ashore from wrecked Spanish Armada ships, which is why the Merino strain is still strong in the Highlands.

Going back to your fishing comments, it remains one of my treasured memories to review the shoals of highly colored tropical fish when Snorkelling in the Pacific. If Wordsworth had ever seen that sight he'd have abandoned his daffodils. My point being that you need to be in the water, not just dangling a baited hook.
