I'm glad you recognized the trap. Let me hasten to add it was not a trap I set to try to catch you in. No it is the tempting Statist's trap that all of us who care passionately about issues fall into from time to time. Why fight 50 battles when you can put all your assets into one fight? Well the stark fact is that if you win your battle to implement a Federal "solution" to your problem, you have lost a bigger battle - the battle for liberty. And that battle, frankly, is more important then any other issue. Even the life and death ones. Given that I believe States' rights should supercede federal power (not the society we have now), I would agree with that in principle.
